Sleeping Beauties Waking Up

One rule of parenting is never wake a sleeping child. Sometimes this rule needs to be broken, so at 3:00 today I woke up my sleeping beauties in fear of them not going to sleep at night until unreasonable hours. These were the reactions I got upon waking them. What can I say, Cari was more than ready to get the rest of her day started, while her sisters would have been happy to lay around a little longer. They really are funny little girls.

It's Her Thing

Just an update on Ellie today. As of April 26, at the ripe age of 14 months Ellie took her first step. Going forward she was much happier to sit in my arms and give me "mama pats" on my back. She would watch her sisters play. Laugh at their antics, but not want engage in their activity. She was just fine observing. Suddenly, on Memorial day Baby Bell decided that enough was enough, and decided it was time to engage, and literally overnight transformed herself into a toddler. She hardly ever crawls, and her adorable booty scoot has almost disappeared.

Her little personality along with likes and dislikes have developed. She plays dress up with her sisters, and dare I mention this she had her first time out on the steps for hitting Cari. I was shocked. She staked her claim on the coupe car, and does not want to share it with any of her sisters. She doesn't have a lovey ( a nuk doesn't count) she has an Elmo purse. She is even accessorises with Elmo slippers. She actually brings them to me and says "shoes." With all these developments, one that I find a bit annoying is her love for my aloe plant. She will be playing it more often than none. It is annoying, but quite funny all at the same time. With each passing day she is a little less infant and a little more toddler. I just hope she has doesn't give up those mom pats any time soon because they are the best.
